Ques.1. A, B and C started a business with their capitals in the ratio 2:3:5. A increased his capital by 50% after 4 months. B increased his capital by 33 1/3 after 6 months and C withdrew 50% of his capital after 8 months from the start of the business. If the total profit at the end of a year was ₹86, 800 then the difference between the share of A and C in the profit was:
Options
A) ₹12600
B) ₹7000
C)₹9800
D) ₹8400
Solution.
A= 2 × 4 + 3×8 = 8+24= 32
B = 3×6 + 4×6 = 18+24=42
C= 5×8 + 5/2 × 4 = 40+10=50
(A) 16 :(B) 21 : (C) 25
Difference between A & C = (86800×9)/62 = 12600 Ans.

Ques.2.A, B and C invested their capitals in the ratio of 2:3:5. The ratio of months for which A, B and C invested is 4:2:3.If C gets a share of profit which is ₹ 147000 more than that of A, then B’s share of profit is:
Options
A)₹ 1,26,000
B) ₹1, 68,000
C) ₹1,05,000
D) ₹1, 89,000

Solution. Ratio of Profit = investment × time
So, Ratio of profit = 4×2: 3×2: 5×3
= 8:6:15
So, B’s profit = (1,47,000×6)/7 = 126000 Ans.

Ques.3.The ratio of investment by A to that By B in a business 14:15 and the ratio of their respective profits at the end of a year is 2:5. If A invested to money for 3 months, then for how much time(in months) B invested his money?
Options
A) 7
B) 6
C) 5
D) 9

Solution. Let Time of B = T2
P1/P2 = I1×T2/I2×T2
2/5 = 14×3/15×T2
T2=7 Ans.
