Ques 2. Monika spends 72% of her income. If her Income increase by 20% and savings increase by 15% than her expenditure increase by(correct to 1 decimal)

Options A. 20.8% B. 20.2% C. 21.9% D.19.8%

Solutions.

100(old income) = 72(old spends) + 28(old savings)

120(new income) = 87.8(new spends) + 32.2 (new savings)

Expenditure increase% = 15.8*100/72 =21.9% ans.

X/Y = 3/2

Required Percentage = 1*100/2 = 50% more ans.

Ques 6. A,B and C spent 80%, 85%, and 70% of their incomes respectively, if their savings are in the ratio 8:9:20 and diffrence between the incomes of A and C is Rs 18000 then the income of B is?

Given Expenditure of A = 80%

Saving of A = 20%

So, income of A= 100% Saving of A=8(by ratio)

Income of A= 8*100/20

Similarly

Income of B =9*100/15

Income of C = 20*100/25

Income Ratio = 8/20 : 9/15 :20/25 = 2:3:4

B= 18000*2/3 =27000 ans.

83 1/3% = 5/6

let total students. 6(1 boy and 5 Girls)

Absent boy = 2/5 and absent girls = 1

so, total absent 1+2/5 =7/5

Percentage of absent = 7/5*100/6 =23 1/3% ans.

Ques.19. A number is first increased by 16% and then increased by 14% .The number, so obtained, is now decreased by 30%.What is the net increase or decrease percent in the original number (nearest to integer)?

% increase = 16+14+16*14/100=32.4%

% change =32.4-30 -30*32.4/100 =2.24 -9.67 = -7.43

=7% decrease ans.
